Mission Statement

I must confess, this is kind of a sock puppet livejournal. I have another one, since 2003 (and that is far too long ago!), but I've never been able to use it as much as I want to. First reason, I am lazy. Really lazy. But secondly, I have this bizarre mental block thing where I can't show enthusiasm about things I'm fannish for. For the reason for this, we must go back far too many years to when I was a little dragon who got mocked in school for her love of a European animated series. Yes, this is a school bullying story, very original I know. Anyway, my way of dealing was to completely close off when it came to things I liked.

And my old journal is known to people I know in real life, making me wary about what I post there. This is unfair to them, as I sincerly doubt they care about my fannish pursuits. But with my paranoia, the result was a whole lot of nothing. "It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt." as someone who knew the value of a pen name once said.

The solution? A new journal, completely cut off from anyone who knows me in real life.

That doesn't do anything about the laziness though, hell I probably should have gotten a Twitter account.

So, some things about me. I am bibliodragon, and you won't know me from such fandoms as the x files, friends, er, buffy, angel, stargate, firefly, spooks, new battlestar and doctor who, as well as brief flirtations with many others. Born in and still in Scotland, I'm in my mid twenties and still not doing anything with my life, I'm a depressive bisexual asexual sarcastic laid back somewhat anxious paranoid agnostic atheist lefty cynical optimistic type person.

Most of my posts are unlocked, only odd little things that could identify me to people who are probably not you are kept under flock due more to my paranoia than anything else.

I have a really bad habit of friending and forgetting to comment; if I friend you it is because I like reading your unlocked posts, and please don't feel any pressure to friend back. Though if you see anything of interest in my ramblings you are more than welcome to.
